Article summary

Emails can be sent and received from Onexfort on the Activity tab of the opportunity and job pages. Before emails can be used in Onexfort, your company's domain has to be verified. You can only use your domain email addresses to send and receive emails in Onexfort. Web email accounts like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo etc cannot be used in Onexfort for email communications.

If you used a web email account at the time of registering for Onexfort, you will then need to contact Onexfort support to get the DNS settings record setup for your domain. Only after that, you can do the following steps.

DNS Settings

On this page, you will be able to see the DNS records for the DKIM and Return-Path. You will have to find where the name servers are defined for your domain. It may be in the registrar companies like GoDaddy, CrazyDomains etc., where you registered your domain name. Or it may be defined on the web server where you have hosted your website. If you don't know where your name servers are, you can find out using this service: https://dnschecker.org/ns-lookup.php

Here is a helpful article for adding DNS records for common hosts and DNS providers: https://postmarkapp.com/support/article/1090-resources-for-adding-dkim-and-return-path-records-to-dns-for-common-hosts-and-dns-providers

Do not sign up or set up an account with PostMarkApp!

After the records are set up successfully you will see a green tick next to the records as shown below:

Email Forwarding

When your customers reply to the emails sent from Onexfort the emails will appear in the Inbox and also be logged in the Activity tab of the opportunity and job pages. However, for this to happen, an email forwarding setup has to be done. You will have to do a set-up to forward a copy of the incoming emails to your account (that's used for sending emails from Onexfort), to be forwarded to the email shown in the email forwarding section as shown in the sample screenshot below.

The email forwarding setup will differ according to the emailing solution you use. This is an article showing the forwarding setup for Gmail/GSuite:
